I know you don't serve my area but I was wondering if you had any connections to a midwife that serves Somerset, KY/Pulaski County. It is incredibly difficult to find anyone and I really disliked my last OBGYN. I just found out I am pregnant with my third child and I would love to give birth at home because a natural birth in the hospital is stressful. If you could point me into the right direction or give me references I would greatly appreciate it.

I am an acupuncturist in Elizabethtown and I see a lot of patients who seek assistance in turning a breech baby. Are you a midwife that specialized in the delivery of breech babies, or could you give me the names and numbers of those who are. I would like to pass this information on to my patients and potential clients for you.
Thank you,
Jenny Marie Greenough

Hello!

My husband and I are going to be trying for baby #3 soon. My first birth was a vaginal delivery at 33 weeks and my second was a C-section. I'm overwhelmed and trying to find the best option for me and my family. I had high risk pregnancies both times and I don't know how that would play into our decision or services that can be provided to me. I would love to get more information and/or chat with you. Is there a good way to do this?

Dear Juliet,

My name is Madhavi Gupta and I am the owner of Best Nest Wellness, a family owned company that makes products for pregnant mothers and families. My husband, Jeremy Dyen, and I started this company because we could not find high quality prenatal vitamins with the best ingredients that were both safe and convenient to take.

I am so grateful to you and the difference you are making in women's lives helping them go through this process in the most natural way possible the way nature intended. I want to give back by sending you a bottle of our most premium prenatal vitamin.

We know that providing the best products to your clients is very important to you. Our BEST Prenatal? Vitamin is a 100% natural, one-a-day prenatal vitamin. It is one of the only prenatal vitamins with methylfolate, a natural and more absorbable form of folate (rather than synthetic folic acid) and methylcobalamin. In addition, it is free of artificial colors, artificial flavors, sugar, sweeteners, preservatives, gluten, soy, yeast, fish/shellfish, nuts, GMOs, and dairy/lactose.

I'd also like to send you some brochures that include a coupon for 25% off of our prenatal vitamin, so you can share them with your clients. If you would like them, kindly reply to this email with your mailing address.

And if you have any questions, I would be happy to help in any way. I can be reached at 215-500-2739 or by hitting ?reply? to this email.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Warmest Regards,

Madhavi Gupta, M.D.

Looking for resources on finding Midwives who will attend home births in the Lexington area. I am pretty underwhelmed by my findings.

Molly Jo, I know this is too late to help you, but others looking for home birth midwives in Lexington can try talking with the folks at Baby Moon - http://www.baby-moon.org/.

I am trying to gain wisdom on VBAC after 3 csections. My first was secondary to baby being breach. My second was not medically necessary and planned secondary to my doctor and hospital not being on board with VBACS at all. My 3rd was after 12 hours of labor and then some unexplained bleeding. My water was leaking and secondary to the doctor trying to decrease risk of infection, she induced my labor with pitocin at 40 and 2 days. Since then, I have researched and learned that Pitocin leaves increased risk of uterine rupture. I often wonder what the outcome may have been if she had just let me go home and start labor naturally. I have a huge desire for a natural birth and I think the only way to achieve this is in my home with a midwife and Doula that is supportive. I am not expecting yet. I don't plan to get pregnant unless I can find the support of a homebirth after 3 C-sections. I do not want another C-section. I would appreciate your thoughts and wisdom.

Hi Jennifer! I can understand your concern and trepidation about getting pregnant again. I'd be happy to talk with you, perhaps you could shoot me an email: [email protected]
